Using the Animation Timeline and Animation Sequences (Available with 3D Canvas Pro)

Clicking on the Animation Toolbar displays the animation timeline and animation sequences panels.

The animation timeline displays the key-frames for the actively selected object. You can also move or scale the animation sequence for groups or operations. To Scale an animation sequence, select a range of key-frames, click on the final key-frame in the animation and drag to the key-frame where you would like the sequence to end. To Move an animation sequence, select a range of key-frames, click anywhere except the last key-frame and drag. Right-dragging a selection gives you the option of either copying of moving the key-frames.

Symbol-Animation-Continuous.gif (833 bytes) indicates that this is a non-repeating animation.

Symbol-Animation-Repeat.gif (842 bytes) indicates that this is a repeating animation.

Symbol-Animation-Frame.gif (879 bytes) in this sample this is a non-repeating group animation with four key-frames that spans 9 seconds starting at time 0.

Symbol-Animation-Twist.gif (843 bytes) in this sample this is a repeating Twist operation on a Cube object with three key-frames that spans 5 seconds starting at time 2.

Symbol-Animation-Path.gif (840 bytes) indicates a path start or sub-path start key-frame.

Symbol-Animation-Standard.gif (840 bytes) indicates a standard key-frame.

Animation Sequences

stores the selected range of key-frames as a named sequence. This named sequence can later be appended anywhere in your animation.

These sequences are stored with the object even if the object is added to an object library. These sequences can then be used in any new scenes where the object is added.

Note that sequences apply to objects only. Lights and cameras cannot have sequences created for them.

re-titles the selected sequence.

appends the selected sequence to the currently selected time.
