Applying Boolean Set Operations
Select an object.
Click
and then a second object to merge the
two objects. This differs from a union in that it does not create any new faces or points,
but simply creates a single object from the two. Also, all material information is
retained.

create a new object from the intersection of the two objects.

subtract the first from the second.
Click
and then a second object to blend the
two objects. This can be a time consuming task.
Click
and then a second object to create a
single object with a bridge between the two objects. Options are available for the bridge
effect by right-clicking. This can be a time consuming task.
Boolean operations require solid objects. If one or more
of the objects is not solid results will be poor or unsuccessful. If an
object was created via the Merge operation it is very likely that it has
interior parts which means it is not classed as a solid object. |
