Using the Extrude Operation
The Extrude Operation extrudes, and optionally bevels, the selected faces or
edges.
The Extrude operation has several settings available including Extrusion,
Bevel Amount and Extrude as Region. These settings can be
adjusted using the Object Layers Panel when an
Extrude operation layer is active.
The Extrusion setting is used to indicate the
amount of extrusion desired.
The Bevel Amount setting is used to indicate the
amount of bevelling to perform.
The Extrude as Region setting is used to indicate that the
selected faces or edges should remain connected after the extrusion.
The Extrude Using Face Direction setting is used to indicate that
each of the selected faces should be extruded using its direction. Normally
faces are extruded using the average direction of the selected faces. This
setting has no effect on Extrude as Region since it always extrudes
using individual face directions.
