Using the UV Map Operation

The UV Map operation is used to apply a material to a selection and then permit the adjustment of the created texture mapping coordinates.

The left panel is the UV Map preview. The right panel is used to adjust the texture map coordinates. Each green handle corresponds to the mapping position of a point. These handles can be moved to adjust the point's texture map coordinates.

Click to move the mapping to the left. Ctrl-click to move a small amount.

Click to move the mapping to the right. Ctrl-click to move a small amount.

Click to move the mapping up. Ctrl-click to move a small amount.

Click to move the mapping down. Ctrl-click to move a small amount.

Click to reduce the mapping size. Ctrl-click to reduce a small amount. Shift-click to reduce in the vertical direction only.

Click to enlarge the mapping size. Ctrl-click to enlarge a small amount. Shift-click to enlarge in the vertical direction only.

Click to rotate the mapping clockwise. Ctrl-click to rotate a small amount.

Click to rotate the mapping counter-clockwise. Ctrl-click to rotate a small amount.

Click to reset all texture coordinates to their unmodified positions.
