Animating the Tip Operation

Many 3D Canvas Operations can have their effect animated. If an operation supports Update Button-Operation-Update.gif (515 bytes) on the Object Layers Panel, the Operation Adjust Tool Button-Toolbar-OperationAdjustTool.gif (912 bytes), or Parameters on the Object Layers Panel, it can be animated.

What follows is an explanation of how to animate a Operation-Tip.gif (529 bytes) Tip Operation. The Tip Operation is part of 3D Canvas Plus/Pro.

bulletDrag and Drop a sphere on to the scene.

bulletShow the Animation Toolbar using the View Menu.

Switch to Animation Mode by selecting Button-Animation-Animate.gif (1005 bytes).

Move to time 10 with the animation slider.

Select the Sphere.

The Tip Operation is located on the Object Operations Panel. Apply the Tip Operation to the sphere by clicking Operation-Tip.gif (529 bytes). Set the Tip Extrusion Object Layers Panel to .5.

bulletNow move to time 0 with the animation slider.

Select the Object if it is not already selected. Set the Tip Extrusion Object Layers Panel to 0.

We now have an animated Tipping of an object starting with no tips at time 0 and .5 unit tips at time 10.

Press play Button-Play.gif (908 bytes) to preview the animation.
