Creating Animated GIFs

3D Canvas Pro can not create animated GIFs by itself. It can however create the images that a third party GIF animating program such as GIF Movie Gear requires to create an animated GIF.

What follows is an explanation of how to create an animated GIF using 3D Canvas Pro.

bulletCreate or open a 3D Canvas animation.
TutorialSkeletalAnimation17.gif (15905 bytes)

bulletShow the Animation Toolbar using the View Menu.

Switch to Animation Mode by selecting Animate.gif (1005 bytes).

Click Camcorder.gif (942 bytes) to record the animation.

Select "Save Animation as Images". This will save the animation images individually as Windows bitmap (bmp) files.

You will be asked to enter a filename to save the animation. This filename will be the base filename for the images created. Each image will use this name with a number appended. For example if you choose to save as "animation.bmp" the result would be a group of numbered images starting with animation001.bmp.

bulletThe  images created by 3D Canvas Pro can then be used by a GIF animating program such as GIF Movie Gear to create an animated GIF.
